Dubai aims to use funds from road toll receipts to support infrastructure projects

DUBAI (AFP) - Dubai said Thursday it has launched a plan to raise $800 million through the securitisation of receipts from road tolls, as the government struggles to recover from a debt crisis.
The emirate's department of finance said the plan was "based on the monetisation of receipts from the Salik road toll collection system" and is aimed to support transport infrastructure projects.
